the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) approved Rescue Emergency
Care (REC) scheme was originally devised by Dr Bob Phillips
and Prof G Page for the Scottish Skiing Patrols. |

was felt that other National First Aid Associations did
not make provision for those individuals operating in
more remote areas. The courses have proved so popular
that demand from other areas has resulted in the training
of instructors from many backgrounds to deliver courses
within the REC framework all over the UK and Europe. |
