1 Day Basic First Aid Level 1
|

This 6 hour course is specifically designed with the client in mind, from nursery nurses to sports coaches. This course provides the candidate with the basic skills needed to deal with a first aid incident in a safe and effective way.
Topics include taking and monitoring vital signs, what to do in an emergency (accident procedure), dealing with an unconscious casualty, basic life support (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation - CPR), heart attack and angina, choking, serious bleeding and shock. Other topics can be added depending on the clients needs.

1 Day HSE - Emergency First Aid at Work - EFAW Level 1
|

This 6 hour Emergency First Aid at Work course follows the full HSE syllabus. This includes:
An understanding of the role of the first-aider including reference to available equipment, preventing cross-infection and the need for recording incidents and actions; an accident procedure enabling candidate to act safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency; how to deal with an unconscious casualty (including seizures); basic life support (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation- CPR); how to deal with a choking, bleeding or wounded casualty, how to administer first aid to a casualty who is suffering from shock, and finally to be confident about providing appropriate first aid treatment for minor injuries

2 Day Emergency First Aid Level 2
|

|
|
This 16-hour course is very popular and requires no previous first aid experience. Day one is as above; day two has a strong emphasis on practical scenarios dealing with common injuries and illnesses. The whole course is geared towards the challenges of performing first aid in a more remote situation.
This is an excellent course for those taking outdoor qualifications such as ML, SPA, MIA and MIC as well as IRATA. It is also popular with those who mountain bike, paraglide, horse ride or simply walk or play in the mountains and wish to be more prepared should an incident occur.

3 Day HSE - Standard First Aid at Work - FAW Level 3
|

|
|
This is the 24 hours First Aid at Work certificate and follows the full HSE syllabus with additional occupational elements and has a formal practical examination and written test.
This course is only open to private clients with group bookings and may be delivered at the clients own venue. For those working in the outdoor environment consideration can be given to the challenges of performing first aid in the wilderness environment.
