The Venue
The Deilen Las Education Centre is situated in the stunning grounds of the National Trust’s 19th Century Craflwyn Hall near Beddgelert in Gwynedd. The Craflwyn estate has a wealth of history, dating back to around 1200 AD. Nestled at the foot of Snowdon, Craflwyn Hall has been a monastery, a family residence and a Victorian hunting lodge in times gone by.
Directions from Capel Curig: From Capel Curig take the A4086 towards Snowdon. Continue on this road bearing left on the A498 heading towards Beddgelert Pass through the valley of Nant Gwynant and Sygun Copper Mines on your left. Just after the Copper Mines you will notice the brown National Trust signs for Craflwyn which is on your right. Turn into the drive and then immediately left into the car park. The Deilen Las Centre is to the right hand side of the car park.
Directions from Caernarfon: Depart south on the A487. At the roundabout take the second exit onto A4085 Waunfawr Road. Stay on this road for approximately 10 miles. As you enter Beddgelert stay on the road bearing left (do not go over the bridge) onto the A498 (Stryd Smith). In just over half a mile you will see the brown National Trust signs for Craflwyn. Take the left turn onto the drive and then immediately left into the car park. The Deilen Las Centre is to the right hand side of the car park.
